Coolpad Cool Play 6 with 6GB RAM, dual-cameras coming to India on August 20

Coolpad is bringing its most powerful smartphone to India. The company took to twitter to announce that it will launch the Cool Play 6 in the country on August 20.

The Cool Play 6 was initially introduced in China back in May this year, and is designed for gaming.

In China it is priced at just CNY 1499, which translates to Rs. 14,500, and boasts specs like 6GB RAM, 13MP dual-camera with Sony sensors and a beefy 4060mAh battery, making it the most affordable smartphone to come with such specs. However, we'll have to wait till next week to know whether the India pricing will be around the Rs. 14,500 figure or higher.

Other specs include 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 653 processor, 64GB internal storage, 8MP selfie camera, USB Type-C port, dual-speakers and fingerprint scanner.

It runs Android Nougat out of the box, and is fitted with a temperature control technology, which ensures that the smartphone doesn't heat up during intense game sessions. The battery inside is rated to deliver up to six hours of extreme gaming.
